Marciano Vidal García nació en San Pedro de Trones (León, España) el año 1937. Es sacerdote y pertenece a la Congregación del Santísimo Redentor (redentoristas). Ha sido profesor ordinario en la Universidad Pontificia Comillas (Madrid) y en el Instituto Superior de Ciencias Morales (Madrid), y profesor extraordinario en la Academia Alfonsiana (Roma). Marciano Vidal García nació en San Pedro de Trones (León, España) el año 1937. Es sacerdote y pertenece a la Congregación del Santísimo Redentor (redentoristas). Ha sido profesor ordinario en la Universidad Pontificia Comillas (Madrid) y en el Instituto Superior de Ciencias Morales (Madrid), y profesor extraordinario en la Academia Alfonsiana (Roma). Ha dedicado una intensa actividad, mediante escritos y servicio oral (cursillos, conferencias, congresos), a la renovación de la moral católica según las orientaciones generales del Concilio Vaticano II. Entre sus muchas publicaciones se cuenta un manual de teología moral traducido a varios idiomas: Moral de actitudes, en 4 vols. (Madrid, PS). Otro gran proyecto suyo es la composición de una Historia de la teología moral, de la cual han aparecido cinco volúmenes: La moral en el cristianismo antiguo (siglos i-vii) (826 pp.); Moral y espiritualidad en la cristiandad medieval (siglos viii-xiv) (1.016 pp.);  La moral en la Edad Moderna (siglos xv-xvi) (1.083 pp.); América: "problema moral" (447 pp.); Crisis de la razón y rigorismo moral en el Barroco (siglo xvii) (1.045 pp.). Saldrán en breve dos nuevos volúmenes: uno sobre la Teología moral del siglo xviii y otro dedicado monográficamente a la Teología moral de Alfonso de Liguori (1696-1787).

Marciano Vidal nació en San Pedro de Trones (León, España) en 1937.  Es profesor emérito de la Universidad Pontificia Comillas. Ha enseñado también en el Instituto Superior de Ciencias Morales (Madrid), del que ha sido director. Actualmente es profesor ordinario en el Instituto Superior de Ciencias Morales (Madrid). De renombre internacional, ha colaborado de forma decisiva en la "renovación" de la teología moral católica de las tres últimas décadas. En PPC ha publicado: "La estimativa moral", "Moral cristiana en el nuevo Catecismo", "La propuesta moral de Juasn Pablo II" y "Feminismo y ética. Cómo 'feminizar' la moral".
